The ongoing restoration project of the old jail & courthouse launched earlier this year with Fisher Heck Architects progressed further as the Commissioners voted to enter into a contract with Clean Environments for abatement of asbestos and lead.The group also tabled a proposal for survey service.Commissioner Jack Moseley, liaison to the project, told the court that the plaster in the jail is so soft that the lead cannot be extracted from it and will need to be removed.Judge Richard Evans asked if Clean Environments was found to be the best provider.
