The German Luger is a Model 1917 with a crown image above the word “Erfurt,” and “1917”and “2544” and “44” stamped on all the parts of the pistol.
Documentation shows that it was transported to the United States in 1946 with authorization from the Headquarters, United States Forces European Theatre.
It was provided as a gift to the Bandera American Legion Post 157 and secured for many years.
