The Covered in Love quilters recently crafted 30 handmade quilts of varying sizes to distribute to local organizations.

This group of two dozen local quilters collaborates all year to create quilts for children in Bandera County and they work together to piece the quilts together in a variety of sizes and patterns.

Brittany Seaman, President of Bandera Foster Closet, picked up 10 quilts to go to foster families for their foster children.

Often foster children must leave all their possessions behind when they are removed from the home. These warm and snuggly quilts will travel with them as they are placed in foster homes or eventually return to their family.

Seaman chose 10 quilts in patterns for boys and girls as well as sizes for all ages.

The Bandera Foster Closet will serve foster families in Bandera, Medina, Kendall, Kerr, and Gillespie counties.

The Bandera County Emergency Medical Services and Texas Child Protective Services will also select 10 quilts each for their clients in need.
