The free Community Thanksgiving Meal held at the Lakehills Community Center this past Thanksgiving, Nov. 28, served meals to over 250 residents of the close-knit Lakehills and Pipe Creek community.
Donations of ingredients and finances allowed for the event to happen, and volunteers spent weeks planning the event.
COVID-19 reshaped this year’s Thanksgiving meal event. This year, volunteers filled their cars with food to take to those who were not able to leave their house this year due to safety concerns.
