Bandera High School’s Speech Team won second place overall at the Medina Valley Invitational Tournament on Jan. 11, and eight students won high rankings in academics, speech and debate competition at the tournament.
In addition, the Varsity team of Devlyn Cadena and Adisyn Utter and the Freshmen team of Katelyn Mendez and Elijah Sarazua qualified for the quarterfinals in Cross Examination D ebate, Bandera Independent School District officials said in a news release.
Other top finishers from Bandera were Aidan Prater, who won first place in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate, first in Persuasive Speaking, and was the Top Speaker in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate,
