TOP TWO CHESS PLAYERS COMPETE

James Cammack IV (left) makes a move against Robert Barber (right) in their first showdown at the General Store’s Chess Tournament on May 2. Since the games began in January, James and Robert are the two players that have eked out to the top as chess extraordinaries, beating all of their opponents but never having played each other. They finally faced off in a total of two games, with Robert winning the first game and a draw called on the second game. Owner Glenn McComb has introduced the chess clock will soon be utilized in the tournament games.
