DORIS G. TEDESCO
Doris G. Tedesco of Bandera/Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2022, in Bandera. She was born on December 28, 1933, to Lowell and Bertie May Cave in Luray, Virginia.
Doris was a loving wife, amazing mother, and great cook to five beautiful children. She had a sparkle to her eyes and a very quick wit that she sometimes shared. Doris was happiest when surrounded by family and her love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was the Queen of the Annual Tedesco Family Italian Christmas gatherings which included great food, games, prizes, and lots of laughter with her beloved family.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, Lowell and Bertie May; loving husband, George Edward Tedesco; sister, Aileen Rice; and two sons, Anthony Gray “Tony” Tedesco and Kenneth Wayne Broyles.
She is survived by her loving family, Timothy and Debbie Tedesco, Stella Tedesco and James McGroarty, Georgia Curran, Jennifer Tedesco, and Sheri Broyles; thirteen grandkids and family, Tanya Chavira, Todd Utz, Anthony Tedesco, II, Colby and Leann Tedesco, Natalie and Mike Carcino, Angela Broyles, Kenneth Broyles, Danny Tedesco, Justin Wade Bennetsen, Kaila Bennetsen White; and sixteen great grandchildren.
Doris’s compassion and deep love for family and friends and strong religious belief is her legacy. She always said her family made her rich and her friends drove her spirit. She never gave up on anyone or anything. She always said she would take it to the Lord and leave it there; He is the Almighty God.
Doris will be laid to rest at the Cave Family gravesite at Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray, Virginia.
Doris’ family is thankful for the overwhelming professionalism received from River City Hospice and Staff.
And a very special thank you to a very special person and caregiver, Claudia Fuentes. When God was giving out wings, God sent us Claudia.
