The Bandera Boys basketball team opened up the second round of district play this year on Feb. 4 against Canyon Lake, who beat them in early January 64-37.
Going into the contest, the boys knew that they needed a victory in order to keep their playoff hopes alive, as a loss to Canyon Lake would have put the boys two games back of the fourth and final playoff spot with the Hawks owning the season tie breaker.
