Medina FCCLA participated in their Regional Competition and Leadership Conference on Friday, Feb. 2, in Corpus Christi.The day was a success for Medina students, with eight students advancing to the state contest and one student being elected as a regional officer.Will Derry, Kytlin Peterson and Gabe Bower were state qualifiers in food innovations.Cody Swinney, Charles Baker, and Nick Lichtenberg were state qualifiers in sustainability.Kailey McCabe and Audrey Gatlin were state qualifiers in sports nutrition.Ella Castillo was elected Region V Vice President of Public Relations.These students will compete at the State Competition on April 12-14 in Dallas.
