The week of Feb. 26 through March 2 was a busy one for Medina ISD.
The school hosted the Annual Junior High Bobcat Relays on Wednesday, followed by the High School Bobcat Relays on Thursday and then finished the week with their Annual Softball and Baseball Tournaments on Friday and Saturday.
In track meet action, the Bobcats won the Championship in the Varsity Boys division with a combined total of 122 points.

Varsity Boys Division

4X100M Relay – Medina (4th) Allison Watts, Crista Zirkel, Ahnika Grassie, Makenna Gourley High Jump – Crista Zirkel (3rd)
JV Boys Division
100M Dash – Mason Cadenhead (1st), Charles Baker (4th)
400M Dash – Mason Cadenhead (3rd)
4X200M Relay – Medina (2nd) Charles Baker, Will Derry, Mason Cadenhead, Mason Chamberlain In softball and baseball action, both the Bobcats and Lady Cats completed the tournaments in the Runner-Up position.
The Bobcats defeated Leakey, Ingram JV and Knippa to advance to the Championship game.
Earning All-Tournament honors for the Bobcats were Senior Branson Wickham and Freshman Davis Peterson. The Lady Cats earned wins versus Knippa and Kipp University Prep on Friday to earn the number one seed from their pool entering bracket play on Saturday.
A Saturday morning defeat of LaPryor advanced the Lady Cats to take on Somerset Academy in the Championship.
A tough loss there finalized their tournament in the 2nd place position.
Seniors Autumn Turner and Kytlin Peterson earned All-Tournament honors for the Lady Cats.
