April 17’s Telvy Robbins Memorial Chicken Dinner sponsored by the Bandera United Methodist Church was a success, selling out before its 2:00 p.m. deadline. Church members worked together preparing plates for hungry participants as cars lined up down 11th Street waiting to be served either a pit-roasted half chicken or two links of sausages with potato salad, pinto beans, bread and fixin’s for $10.
