Commissioners holding special meeting on redistricting

The Bandera County Commissioners’ Court will meet in a special meeting this Thursday, October 7, in closed session to discuss and seek advice from its attorney regarding the County’s 2021 Redistricting Project, including county redistricting obligations and standards, the 2020 US Census data, documents analysis and scheduling.

Following closed session, there will be discussion and potential action regarding the County’s 2021 Redistricting Project, including the initial assessment presentation by the County’s redistricting counsel regarding the county’s redistricting obligations based on the 2020 US Census data, discussion and approval of redistricting criteria to be utilized by the county for the project, discussion and approval of redistricting guidelines which set standards for public participation in the project and any related project matters, including documents, analysis and scheduling.

The special meeting of the court will take place at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Bandera County Courthouse, located at 500 Main Street.
