Bluebonnet Shop Hop underway
Gone Quiltin’ quilt store at 1115 Cedar Street is participating in the 23rd annual Bluebonnet Shop Hop last weekend along with seven other area quilt stores.
‘‘The seven quilt stores are in the Hill Country from Luling to Buda, and it’s a great event,” Marilee McBride, who purchased the Cedar Street location seven years ago along with Sheila and Wayne Antenen and Kathy Winey.
The event features an exclusive fabric for the event and lots of bluebonnets. This fabric is only available in the participating seven stores, the owners said.
To participate, go to any of the stores listed at www.bluebonnetshophop.net/ for a passport to take to all locations for a stamp.
Everyone who completes the entire hop is eligible for one of our 16 prize baskets filled with fabric and notions.
The grand prizewinner will receive a retreat at the Pinwheel Palace Retreat Center in Lockhart, Texas. The grand prize also includes a $100 gift certificate from each store. Each store is decorated; there are snacks and prizes if you complete all 7 shops.
Every hopper also gets a free fat quarter and a load of new ideas for projects.
The event continues through Saturday, April 2. Gone Quiltin; is open from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. on Saturday. They are closed Sunday.
