Inaugural rally combines RVs, motorcycles

The Direction Wide Open RV & Motorcycle 2022 Rally held Sept. 22-25 was a new opening for Bandera, said spokesperson Lucina Belden.

Starting Thursday and continuing through Sunday, the event featured seminars, live entertainment, happy hours, trivia and many more things – all in the name of RVers with motorcycles and large toys.

Belden said the event, which was held at Bandera Crossing Riverfront RV Park on Hwy 16 N, was the first of its kind for the Cowboy Capital of the World.

“This is the first time we ever did a do a combo RV- Motorcycle rally, not an RV rally and a separate motorcycle, a combo for folks who use RVs and Motorcycles,” said Belden. “This is the first time to do the combo in Bandera and no other place,” Belden said.

Belden said everyone who attended the rally enjoyed and was pleased with the experience. “This event will in grow because people will talk and others will want to join in on the experience,” she said.
