ERVIN CHARLES “BUDDY” WELLS JR.

A proud graduate of Tivy High School, Class of 1965, Buddy went on to attend John Tarleton College for a short time before transferring to Texas A&M University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970. While attending Texas A&M, Buddy married his beloved wife, Ann Craddock, on March 31, 1967. Together, they shared a loving partnership for nearly 58 years.
Buddy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Wells; his sons, Tim (Brooke) Wells and Cody Wells; his daughter, Misti (Brent) Springfield; and his adored grandchildren, Miller, Gatlin, Autry, Allyson, Judson, and Sydni. He was also blessed to be a great-grandfather to Colter, bringing him immense joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Charles Wells Sr. and Lucille Wells. Buddy was deeply involved in his children’s lives, especially through their participation in 4-H and FFA. He took great pride in supporting and guiding them through their agricultural projects, livestock shows, and competitions. His dedication to these programs not only strengthened his bond with his kids but also impacted the lives of many young people in the community.
A funeral service was held at 1pm on February 17, 2025, at Bandera Funeral Chapel, with burial following at West Prong Cemetery in Medina, Texas.
Buddy’s presence in our lives was a true gift, and while he may be gone, his love, wisdom, and legacy will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Bandera Funeral Chapel.
