KENT ERWIN HARBAUGH
KENT ERWIN HARBAUGH
Born on the 4th of July, 1941 in Manson, Iowa, to Kenneth and Bernice Harbaugh, he was raised in the heartland, the son of educators, where his passion for service and adventure steered him to a 30-year U.S. Air Force career flying fast reconnaissance jets and leading America’s Airmen. Upon his retirement in 1993, he and his wife Kathy continued their service to others by founding Triple H Equitherapy in Pipe Creek, Texas, using horses to help people with special physical and mental needs.
Kent was a 1963 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and a decorated Vietnam veteran awarded the Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Bronze Star. He held graduate degrees from George Washington and Auburn Universities in Political Science and Education.
Kent is survived by his wife Kathy, sons Kent Jr. and Kenneth, and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera, Texas at 11:00 AM on Monday, 21 April.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Kent may be sent to support therapeutic riding at www.triple-h.org/ donate1.html or to support ambulances for Ukraine at zeroline.org/convoy.
Kent’s dry wit, infectious smile, and ability to connect with anyone will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
“But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 Services entrusted to Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home, to leave condolences to the family, please visit www.ebensberger-fisher.com
