The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, the Association of Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts, the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and other organizations have developed a statewide campaign to highlight the importance of voluntary land stewardship in Texas during Soil and Water Stewardship Week this week.
The theme of the campaign this year is “Where Would We BEE Without Pollinators?,” officials said.
According to the Kansas Rural Center, pollinators and other beneficial insects are losing ground worldwide. Currently, 25 percent of North American bee species are at risk of extinction.
