As of 10:30 a.m. Friday, August, 26 the burn ban was terminated for all four precincts in Bandera County by authority of Bandera County Judge Richard Evans. The news comes after the National Weather Service estimated Bandera County received up to four inches of rain, with the western portion of the county receiving closer to one-and-a-half inches. The lifting of the ban was on August 25's Commissioners’ Court agenda, but the final decision was deferred to Friday pending information from Fire Marshal Jason Rutherford.
