In First Peter, Chapter One, Peter reminds us of God’s will for us: in Jesus Christ we are his children with the promise that we will live with him forever in his kingdom.
Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for our sin. Trusting in this event, we have God’s promise that he has forgiven our sin and given us the reward for that trust - everlasting life with him.
