Growing Up in Bandera

Modern day problems sometimes seem almost insurmountable when I take a look back and compare them to earlier times. In school I was always less than an entusiastic student. Generally I was thinking about what we were going to have for lunch and if my mom was going to let me go to the river instead of starting homework as soon as I came home. My motivation was lacking but there was always encouragement from teachers in some form or fashion.

RE: METHVILLE 3240

Thank you for bringing this situation the attention it deserves. I find it hard to believe that the Sheriff’s department is doing anything other than telling us to be patient. If they are doing something they should be clearer about what that is. It’s hard to believe people live in this squalor, and if they are drug addicts, as many of us neighbors assume, they need help in changing their lives. Ignoring this situation is not helping anyone involved. And if there are children living there, shouldn’t Child Protective Services be involved as well? Public outcry is the only thing likely to lead to action..
