Stanley Howard Kendrick, 77, of Bandera, went home to be with our Lord and his wife on Jan. 26, 2024. He was born in Rutherfordton, NC to Robert Edward Kendrick and Evelyn Lee Harriss Kendrick on Nov. 18, 1946. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Pember on April 6, 1966.

Patricia Ann Spratling Muller, our beloved wife, mother, and friend, left this world to spend forever with Jesus on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024. She leaves behind her adoring husband of 68 years, Mr. Steve Muller, five children, 5 children in love, 12 grandchildren, 2 grandchildren in love and 2 great grandchildren. We miss her terribly — so much so, we cannot seem to write her obituary quite yet, so that will be published in next week’s paper.

Charles Barry Ramsey, 87 years, former resident of Pipe Creek, TX, passed away on January 8, 2024 in Boerne, TX. He was born in Shawnee, OK to Merritt Wales and Gladys Lucile on March 12, 1936. He married Anita on July 14, 1956, whom he met while stationed in Germany and while serving in the US Army. He was a proud veteran. “

Kerry Lee Snider of Bandera, Texas, Born Aug. 9 1955, in Worcester, Massachusetts. She passed away Dec. 29, 2023. 

Myra Beth (Thurman) Golemon, 74, of San Antonio, passed away Dec. 23, 2023, in Live Oak. She was born in Kerrville, on Feb. 3, 1949, to Vernon W. Thurman and Florence Lydia Woerner. She married James Stephen “Steve” Golemon on Feb. 3, 1968, in Kerrville, TX.

Beverly Ann Gordon Aldridge was born on July 23, 1949, in Little Rock Arkansas to Howard and Louise Gordon. They moved to Harlingen, Texas where she lived with her parents and brother Tom Gordon and sister Helen Simpson.

Sterling Quinn Gotthardt age 71 of Bandera, Texas passed away peacefully and went to be with our Lord on Jan. 2, 2024. He was born on Feb. 20, 1952, to Bill and Betty Gotthardt.

Lloyd Gilbert Hickman, age 94 years and 7 months, of Bandera, Texas was called home by his Lord and Savior on Dec. 31, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas.

James Russel Garza passed away Dec. 15, 2023, at home in Pipe Creek, Texas. He was born on Feb. 23, 1958, in Carrizo Springs. Texas. He grew in Crystal City, Texas, where he developed lifelong friends through football, playing trumpet in the marching and jazz band and being a mischievous altar boy.

In loving memory of Jack Edward Dunn, a devoted son, husband, father, and friend who passed away on Dec. 17, 2023, in Kerrville, Texas and left a legacy of love, adventure, and service. Born in Odessa, Texas on Dec. 4, 1958, to Jimmie W. Dunn and Mary Frances Dunn, Jack’s journey through life was marked by diverse experiences and unwavering dedication to those for whom he cared.

Norman Joel Stephens, 88 years old, of Boerne, Tx, passed away Dec. 24, 2023. He was born in Edinburg, Tx to Cecil Vernon Stephens and Maggie Jerusha Stephens Feb. 20, 1935. He was married to Mary Carolyn Stephens Dec. 22, 1958 in Edinburg, Tx.

Long time resident of Bandera County Sara Herzing Porter entered into eternal rest on Dec. 1, 2023, at the age of 80.Sara Herzing was born in Del Rio, Texas on Jan. 29, 1943, to Elizabeth Nell Swope Herzing and George Murdock Herzing.

Douglas Robert “Rob” Sandidge, 73, passed from this earth on Nov. 16 at his home in Tarpley.

Lou Jackson was born on July 19, 1934 and passed away at home on Nov. 19, 2023 surrounded by family.

Major (RET) Harry “Jim” Hennigar, Jr., age 90, of Lakehills, peacefully went to be with the Lord while surrounded by family on Nov. 28, 2023.

Robert Russell Bowie was born into this world on Nov. 6, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas. He passed from this world on Nov. 2, 2023. He was referred to by all who knew him as Russell.

June 26, 1951 — Nov. 14, 2023. Randle Lee “Randy” Alanis passed from this life Nov. 14, at the age of 72, after a lengthy battle with heart disease. The fourth of five sons born to Dan C. Alanis, Jr. and Frances Polvogt Alanis, Randy grew up in and later raised his own family in the town he loved, Bandera. Playing football for the Bandera Bulldogs in the late 1960’s, Randy graduated with Bandera’s Class of 1970. After graduation, he married Bandera local Jeannie Ullrich and started a family.

April 10, 1966 — Nov. 13, 2023. Kimberly Mansell Laine, aged 57, of San Antonio, passed away on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023. Born on April 10, 1966, in Bangor, ME, Kimberly was the daughter of the late Robert Mansell and Carrol Moores Mansell. Kimberly’s journey in life led her to marry the love of her life, Marc Laine, on June 25, 2005, in Austin. Together, they built a life filled with love and companionship.
