Sheriff Dan Butts released a statement Monday thanking the community and his county staff following his runoff defeat in the Bandera County Republican primary runoff on May 28.

At the June 13 regular meeting of the Commissioner’s Court, Commissioner Jack Moseley announced that the Bandera County Historical Commission (BCHC) was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Texas Historical Commission (THC) for their accomplishments during the 2023 year of service.

In my mind I think I'm still living in the country. That's the way it has always been for me here in Bandera. Didn't matter if we lived in town because you were still considered country.
